Jaap Scholten (The Netherlands, 1964) lives in sunny and monumental Toledo (Spain).
With a healthy addiction to travelling, nature, adventure, good food and Russian monasteries, Jaap started in the nineties as a travel guide and writer. He wrote several guides in the Dutch Odyssee series about Spain, Portugal and Italy, and had over thirty publications in travel magazines.
Although Jaap loves travelling accompanied by his camera, he mainly is a writer and works for specialized nature publications together with top nature photographer Jorge Sierra. Then for those more artistic parts he counts on the support of some wonderful friends in Madrid.
This website is meant as a source of inspiration for travelers and includes a blog, sections on photography and publications as well as links to interesting, travel related sites of other professionals and friends.
